Emmett McKinney
Emmett McKinney was a Research Associate at the Environmental Law Institute, where he supported the organization's work as Secretariat for the International Network for Environmental Compliance and Enforcement (INECE), in addition to facilitating initiatives related to food waste and water quality. Prior to joining ELI, Emmett advocated for federal policies to support clean energy with the Sierra Club's Beyond Coal Campaign, and also researched private governance strategies to engage corporations, non-government organizations, and individuals in near-term climate change mitigation. Emmett earned a BA, magna cum laude, in Public Policy and French from Vanderbilt University in May 2016, where his senior thesis explored opportunities and barriers for food waste reduction in independent restaurants.
