Serena Choi
Research and Publications Intern
Serena Choi is a recent graduate of Washington University in St. Louis, where she studied International Development Studies, Chinese, and Economics. Serena is originally from South Korea and is interested in how different societies can mitigate and adapt to impacts of climate change. She had an opportunity through the Global Inequality Environmental Justice case competition sponsored by Washington University to provide adaptive strategies to fishing communities on the shores of Lake Victoria, Tanzania, related safe water access and other social and health challenges. As a Research and Publications intern at ELI, Serena is particularly passionate to learn how countries may transition to more resilient, clean, and equitable energy systems.
