The General Counsel for the D.C. Water and Sewer Authority (D.C. Water) and the Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission (WSSC) discussed some of the key legal issues affecting municipalities and water agencies, including issues regarding the maintenance and upkeep of infrastructure, challenges concerning rate increases on residents for water usage, compliance with pollution-reduction requirements set by the EPA, and trends for the future concerning water utilities.
