The over 1200 climate litigation cases filed in the United States, reflects an emerging challenge to members of the bar and bench about considering issues of climate science and its implications on questions of federal, state, and administrative law. Since 1990, the Environmental Law Institute (ELI) has assisted more than 3000 judges from 28 countries with education and resources on a wide range of topics. Founded in 2018, the Climate Judiciary Project provides information and training for the bar and bench to keep pace with the current consensus on climate science and emerging developments in the law.

This program will introduce the objectives and curricula of the Climate Judiciary Project and provide an overview of the topics and issues addressed in the educational programs and materials. Our speaker(s) will introduce the activities and goals of the project and emerging issues for 2022.
