An ELI ELI Professional Development Webinar
Climate change is currently, and will increasingly, disrupt society. From sea-level rise forcing migration to extreme drought decimating food production, climate change is wreaking havoc in environments worldwide. If global warming continues unabated, these disruptions are likely to be both widespread and devastating. While scientists, government officials, business leaders, NGO experts and advocates, attorneys, policymakers, and community activists have all been focused on reducing anthropogenic climate change, there are other professions heavily impacted by global warming. They are speaking out.
Moderator Justin Fisch will lead a fireside chat with professional ski mountaineer Caroline Gleich, professional trail runner Clare Gallagher, professional runner Peyton Thomas, and attorney and trail runner David Roche as they explore their firsthand experiences of climate change as it impacts their professions. Panelists will consider how they and others as environmental-adjacent professionals and athletes can most effectively communicate the effects of climate change. Please join the Environmental Law Institute, Emerging Leaders Initiative, and leading panelists for an exploration of how environmental-adjacent professionals are being impacted by and how they can affect policy on climate change.
ELI ELI Professional Development Webinars are for the exclusive benefit of Emerging Leaders.
