- Michigan adopted energy reform legislation that strengthened the state’s renewable energy portfolio standard and boosted incentives for energy savings
- Massachusetts Gov. Charlie Baker released a state plan to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 7.2% over the next four years in response to an earlier court order to do so
- State Attorneys General have sent dueling letters to President Elect Trump on the best path forward on the Clean Power Plan
- The New Hampshire Coastal Risks and Hazards Commission finalized a report detailing risks from sea-level rise, flooding, and storm surge, and recommending policy measures for the state and coastal jurisdictions to take
- Louisiana's Coastal Protection and Restoration Authority released a draft of the 2017 Coastal Master Plan, which guides coastal conservation and restoration projects in order to improve resilience and reduce risks from sea-level rise and storm surge
- The City of Tampa and the county's planning commission completed a sea-level rise vulnerability assessment for Tampa, and the city has proposed new policies informed by the assessment to incorporate into its local comprehensive plan
- DC Court of Appeals decision in Michael Mann defamation case
- Washington state decision inviting constitutional and public trust claims by youth plaintiffs
- Updates on Exxon/AG litigations
- Maryland Court of Appeals decision upholding clean energy fund requirement
- Dismissal of suit by Peruvian farmer against German utility for GHG emissions
