Assessment of Peatlands, Biodiversity, and Climate Change

For two weeks in December, more than 10,000 people, including representatives of over 180 countries, convened at the United Nations Climate Change Conference in Bali, Indonesia. One of the reports presented at the conference demonstrated the link between peatland degradation and climate change. Excerpts of that report’s key findings are provided below.
