The Clean Water Rule: A Defining Moment in Water Law History

The following article is a summary of the final Clean Water Rule released by the U.S. Environmental
Protection Agency and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers on May 27, 2015 and
published in the Federal Register on June 29, 2015. On June 8, 2015, the Environmental Law
Institute held a seminar on the Final Rule with expert panelists from industry, government, and
the non-profit sector. The result was an in-depth and important discussion of the Final Rule
and future implications.
