Summary
As a result of the 1996 Farm Bill, the NRCS is gearing up to enroll 75,000 acres in 30-year-easements into the Wetlands Reserve Program. Putting together the first deal under the new rules wasn't easy but resulted in some changes that should smooth the way for future projects.
