A Palace Full of Wetland Enthusiasts

Last July, I had the honor of representing the United States at the Eleventh Conference of the Parties to the Ramsar Convention (the international wetlands treaty) in Bucharest, Romania. Over a 10-day period at the massive and impressive Romanian Palace of the Parliament, I served as part of the U.S. delegation, which worked with over 1,000 people (representing over 135 nations and many additional organizations) on protecting the world's wetlands.
