Summary
No one loves a hurricane, but residents of the Charles River watershed in Massachusetts have reason to be grateful to Hurricane Diane. In 1955, this storm brought record rainfall to eastern Massachusetts that resulted in severe flooding, particularly in areas near Boston and Cambridge.
