Wetlands Value Assessment: An Example of Interagency Cooperation

Federal agencies with interest and responsibilities in wetland ecosystems are pooling resources to develop and implement a standard national wetlands values assessment methodology. This type of cooperative endeavor with respect to wetland ecosystems is not new—a similar effort in the wetland mapping and classification program of the National Wetlands Inventory has been very successful.
