The Environmental Law Institute is pleased to announce that Jeffrey Davidson has been elected as a member of its Leadership Council. Mr. Davidson, a partner in the Land, Environment & Natural Resources Division in the Washington, D.C. office of Manatt, Phelps & Phillips, focuses his practice on environmental litigation and enforcement, the practical resolution of environmental issues in corporate and real estate transactions, and environmental compliance counseling with respect to existing and emerging regulatory programs. His pro bono practice includes representing individuals in collaboration with the D.C. Volunteer Lawyers project, Domestic Violence Practice in prosecuting Civil Protection Order petitions.
Mr. Davidson’s clients have ranged from Fortune 10 companies to midsize companies, family businesses, individuals, trade associations, and public interest groups. His cases have involved civil and criminal environmental enforcement matters as well as those involving both human and ecological exposures to toxic materials. In addition to representing clients in administrative rulemaking proceedings, his litigation experience includes appellate representation in state and federal courts, including the Supreme Court of the United States. Mr. Davidson, who holds his Bachelors, Masters in Public Policy and J.D. degrees from Duke University, was ranked as a “leading lawyer” in Chambers USA 2015.

The ELI Leadership Council is the Institute’s group for the most prominent environment, energy, and natural resource leaders in the nation. The Council recognizes leaders for their commitment of resources and time to the Institute’s vision of a healthy environment, prosperous economies, and vibrant communities founded on the rule of law. Members participate in events and have a chance to network and engage other leaders in discussions about key environmental law and policy issues.
