Practitioners in the burgeoning field of federal and state environmental law have new allies from an old friend. ELR® — The Environmental Law Reporter®, which has been the essential resource for the environmental, toxic torts, natural resource, and land use professional for more than 30 years, announces new and expanded reporting services — all available online for the first time. For a limited period, non-subscribers can preview these services for free on ELI’s Web site.
State News & Analysis from ELR® is a new Internet-only service providing information on state-level litigation and statutory and administrative developments in environmental, natural resources, land use, and toxic tort law. State News & Analysis covers recent environmental news in all 50 states and the District of Columbia, and provides a link to the full, official document or text when available. It also features frequently updated analyses, written by ELR® attorney-editors and contributors from law firms, public interest groups, and corporations in over 20 states, that go behind and beyond the news to provide critical insights into important developments.
To deliver its reporting more rapidly, ELR® is moving several reporting sections in its monthly publication ELR® News & Analysis to the Web. Currently, “In the Congress,” “In the Federal Agencies,” and “In the States” are available on ELI’s Web site. After March 1, 2000, access will be limited to subscribers only. Not only does the dynamic nature of the Internet allow ELR® to provide more timely information on federal and state legislative and regulatory developments, it also allows these services to provide easy access links to key governmental documents. In addition, moving these services on-line allows ELR®’s attorney-editors to include more in-depth analysis and articles in the print service.
Another part of this limited-time offer isELR® Update, which is usually an exclusive service to ELR® subscribers. Newly expanded, ELR® Update provides concise, easy-to-read reports on recent court decisions, legislative developments, and agency actions.
ELR® Update, State News and Analysis, and the three reporting sections from ELR® News & Analysis are available for free at ELI’s web site until March 1, 2000. After March 1, only full ELR® subscribers will be able to access all of ELR®’s on-line services. Single or multiple service subscriptions are also available.
